And just like that summer is over! Boo. :( Is it just me or did this summer fly by? From reading my last (rough start to summer) post I wondered if I would make it through. Haha! I did and I have to say that I did not want it to end. I still don't want it too. It really was one of the best summer's I've had with the kids. It was also nice to have Brandon around a bit more, in between his studies and internship. We went on weekly family fieldtrips, which we all enjoyed, and spent lots and lots of time at my parents pool. I wasn't sure about their move from a house to a "condo community", just for the fact that the kids wouldn't have a place to play outside. Boy was I wrong! We took every chance we got to head over there and swim. I cannot believe the difference in the kids skills, especially Audrie. When she started out she stayed in her inner-tube the entire time in the shallow end. You would never guess that now! She swims all over the place with her eyes open, jumps...and even dives...that's right dives...off the sides. Alexa spent most of her time in the deep end, diving for rockets, etc. Even Matt has come a long way. He thinks he can swim just like his big sisters. :) They closed the pool last week and we are so sad.
I took so many pictures over the summer, but was too busy playing to keep up with this blog. :) Now I am hating myself for not doing so. I am not sure who, if any, look at this here blog, but because this is a way of "scrapbooking" our life, I am going to upload all those pics. Beware! Let that be your warning...

The first weekend school got out, Brandon and I took a mini "stay-cation" downtown. It's always refreshing to get a break and spend time alone together. I surprised Brandon and got tickets to "Big Head, Todd and the Monsters". If you've never heard of the band, you should check them out. They kind of remind me of Dave Matthews, but a little more bluesy. So good. Plus, it was a beautiful summer night at Red Butte Gardens...can't go wrong with that.
