We've Moved!

Well, we have finally found a place to live and moved in the weekend before we went to Chicago. We're just about settled, just the odds and ends left -which sometimes takes the longest to sort out. We feel lucky to have found this cute little house in Cottonwood Heights. It's in impeccable condition and in a great location and neighborhood. Brandon is about 15 minutes from work and the girls love living so close to their cousins and grandparents.

It's nice to have our own place to call home!

Fun in Chicago!

For Brandon's 30th Birthday I surprised him with 2 airline tickets to Chicago to go see his first NFL game. We are lucky enough to have our good friends, Jenava and John Tait, who happens to play for the Bears, hook us up with tickets to the game and a place for us to stay.

Brandon and I went without the kids and it was a wonderful get-away! We had such a great time and think we should do it more often. :)

It was our first trip to Chicago and there was a lot to see...

Happy Be-Lated Birthday Audrie!

Our little Auddie B. turned 3 on September 8th. She definitely has spunk, humor and personality! Everyone she meets is drawn to her, but who couldn't resist those big blue eyes, that smile that lights up her face and the most low and boisterous laugh that, let's face it, just makes you laugh.

According to her, she is a "big" girl now. She even told me that she needed a new car seat, because the one she had was for babies. Apparently she knows best. :) Audrie is our little...let me re-phrase, "BIG" lover. She loves to snuggle (ever since she was born) and cares for everyone. She loves her older sister, but can pin her in about 1 second. She is one tough cookie! Her name means "Noble Strength", which can apply in more than one way. Ha-Ha!

We love our cute Audrie and are grateful for her in our lives!

First Day of Kindergarten

Well, it has been just over a month now since Alexa started her first day of Kindergarten. It seems so weird to have her in school already. Her sister and I miss her when she's gone. I've asked her what her favorite thing is and she loves art-which she is really quite good at. She tells me all the time that she wants to be an artist. We'll see how long that lasts. :) She also loves the computer lab and the library.

I met with her teacher today for a Parent/Teacher conference and she is doing really well. She said she has lots of friends (which is always good for a parent to hear), and the boys love her (which is not so good for a father to hear). After it was over we played outside and I asked her if she played out on the jungle gym during recess and she said, "No, I usually sit over there on the bench because I don't like getting pushed around." Well said. Although, apparently she has no trouble chasing the boys around trying to give them hugs. :) Ahhh...so much to look forward to!
